Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
Who would have thought that pumpkin pie for breakfast would be a thing? Well with this quick and easy recipe you can enjoy this super healthy season favorite for breakfast.
This recipe makes about 4 servings. Preparation time is about 5 minutes and cook time is about 5 additional minutes, so you can be enjoying this pumpkin pie oatmeal in about 10 minutes. Here is what you will need to prepare your Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal.
Ingredients:
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 3/4 cups almond milk
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup maple syrup
To Prepare Your Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
1) Combine oats and milk in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2) Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until desired consistency is reached, about 3-5 minutes.
3) Stir in pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg until heated through, about 1 minute.
4) Serve immediately, garnished with pecans and maple syrup, if desired.
